Trend Casting

February 15th, 2024 | Emma Arnold

It’s the beginning of the year, which means “trend casting” is every other video or blog I’m seeing right now. What’s in for 2024 weddings, what should we leave behind…

I promise this isn’t the blog post for that. The one and only thing Tesori wants to trend in 2024 and beyond is intention. I’m going to mention it over and over but really, it’s true. If a certain detail or tradition or color means something special to you and your fiancée… do whatever you want! You’re making intentional choices and I stand behind you. One “trend” however that I don’t think is new but I appreciate getting the attention it deserves is wedding wardrobes. It’s not exactly novel, of course you’re going to be wearing a lot of white and you have something in mind for your bridal shower, engagement party, bachelorette, rehearsal, and DUH, the wedding (our specialty). But more so than just having an outfit for each event, we absolutely encourage you to curate a “bridal style” for yourself and source and borrow and buy things that can be mixed and matched and reworn to tell a story.

What if, 5 years from now, as you look over all the photos from all of the events during your engagement season, you can really see your stage of life from that time? As a fiancée, are you playful, flirty and colorful? Are you retro and edgy? Are you girly and romantic? Refined and elegant? Preppy and timeless? How special would it be to see that you rewore those earrings to your engagement party and your fiancée didn’t know those were THE wedding earrings? What if you wear the same gloves to the rehearsal dinner as you do for your grand exit? Your veil in your boudoir photos? Those details can help tell a story. So many times I have brides say “I don’t want to wait until my wedding day to wear x” Okay so don’t!! The specialness of your engagement season and the specialness of your wedding day can exist together!

So where does Tesori come in? I promise we aren’t going to try to sell you four different wedding dresses (unless you ask hehe) or anything like that. All of our bridal consultants are experts at helping you find your bridal style. We can look at your Pinterest board of the 30 different dresses and find the common ground, because it’s our job! So please, let us help you curate the entire wedding wardrobe while we are at it. We carry a large selection of Dessy dresses and Little Whites that range from $180-$350, and almost every single style can be ordered in bridal ivory or white. Let’s look at accessories from clutches, gloves, bows, earrings and how they can really be the cherry on top of defining your style.

No matter what, you’re going to be a beautiful fiancée, a beautiful bride, and a beautiful wife. I just want to remind you to enjoy the entire process. At Tesori, we are the queens of staying inside a budget and sprinkling some pixie dust to help your vision come to life. Cheers to the beginning of the year!
